You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this email to let you know about my experience at your hotel last week. I stayed in room 202B for three days, from August 5th to August 8th. At first, everything was good until I figured out that the cooling system in my room did not work properly.
Let me explain more details about my situation. I always booked a room at your hotel whenever I have a business trip to Ottawa. Unfortunately, this time, the system was broken, the temperature of the room was so high during the summer that I had to open all of the windows. I also filed a complaint to the receptionist; however, there was no immediate action to resolve the problem for me. It was one of the most terrible trips I have ever experienced in my life.
I was so disappointed with the service at your hotel. Therefore, I would like you to take this issue into account and solve it reasonably. I will consider staying at your hotel the next time if you make sure there will no longer be the same issue like that as well as offer me some discounts if possible.
