ecoturism
Both of the passage and the lecture talk about the eco-tourism. How it would positively influence the natural location and the local people. But in the lecture, the women disagree with the passage that only mention the pros of the eco-tourism. She stick on her idea of, everything have a positive and negative effect.
First in the listening the women agree with the fact that eco-tourism would have less impact than normal tourism; but the infrastructure needed for this will cause some damage anyway and this will cost air and water pollution.
Moreover in professor also mention the illegal hunting. The government saying that they will protect the area does not mean it will not have any illegal hunting. The worst of it, these road that were made for the tourist to get an easy access to the area make it easier for illegal hunting.
Lastly the passage also talk about benefit for the local people. These people are not benefit by the eco tourism, because the jobs that are offer to locals generally are not well paid. Also the cultural pollution is a problem.
To sum up no matter what kind of tourism, there will be damage no matter what, there is no perfect solution for a good development.
