Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they challenge the specific theories presented in the reading passage.

The professor and reading have conflict of on the theory of how agnostids may have lived. Agnostids were a group of marine animals that became extinct about 450 million years ago. Although the reading have some reasons for they behaviors, the professor asserts that they are too weak to get results.

Firstly, the reading claims that they would be free-swimming predator and were strong that haunted smaller animals. However, the professor argues with it. the professor says that by this reasoning, seems that they would have large eyes too track the small animals, on contrary to fossils ,they had small eyes to see, maybe they were blind and exploit other sensations to track the prey.

Secondly, according to the reading, they were marine animals and lived on the seafloor. Conversely, the professor refutes that by evidences that illustrate the were too fast to habitat on seafloors. Because of their fossils that have been every side of earth, it illustrates that they were not slow to localize just in one place and they could move in far distances. Plus their ability was unusual despite seafloor animals.

Lastly, the passage asserts that it were plausible for agnostids to were parasites for feeding larger organisms ,such as many species that exist as parasites ,such as fleas, ticks, etc. On contrary to the reading passage, the professor their population were too small and they killed off host animals.Substantial amount of fossils illustrate that agnotids' rolling out parasites.
