Essay topics:

Cement Making and Concrete Production

The diagram illustrates the stages and tools required to produce cement and concrete. It is clear that the manufacturing of cement is a linear process with a special equipment and then is used to get concrete for building.

To begin with, limestone and clay are the raw materials which are crushed into powder at first stage. After that, the ingredients, having been mixed by a special tool, then are transported into the rotating mechanism where the powder are heated. Subsequently the composition is ground into particles which called cement. At the last stage cement is packaged in the bags.

Regarding of concrete production, this is one-step process. The received cement is mixed by tool clockwise with gravel, water and sand in different proportions. Gravel makes up a half in the total amount. Moreover, sand represents one-quarter, while cement and water account the least proportion at 15% and 10% respectively. The result of this process is concrete which is ready for use in building.
