Dear Mike,
Hope you are doing well. I have received your letter complaining about the noise from my apartment. As you are aware that I have moved in last month, therefore, there are some major repairs going inside my house. Firstly the water leakage from the taps has caused seepage on the walls additionally there was a need for ventilation hole in the kitchen as it was very suffocating. Although for all these repairs I had taken prior consent from the Residents Welfare Society.
Furthermore, I would like to apologize as I can understand the noise coming from my flat can be irritating for adolescents and elderly parents who cannot concentrate on their work. I hope you can understand that it was never my intent to disturb you guys.
Lastly, I have taken a note of your complaint and would instruct my labour to carry out noisy works in the day and minor repair in the evening so that you folks are not disturbed in the evening while sleeping.
I look forward to your support and cooperation for the next few days.
