The figure depicts information about the fish and various types of meat eaten by the people in european nation in grams per person from 1979 to 2004.
In an overview, it can be noticed that people of european nation preferred chicken more in later years whereas , the consumption of beef, lamb and fish went in opposite trend.
As can be depicted from the figure that the consumption of chicken increased rapidly from just under 150 grams per week to around 250 grams between 1979 and 2004, a rise of about 100 grams in 25 years.
On the other hand, beef which was the most eaten meat in the initial year declined significantly from 220 grams to 110 grams in the final year, although it reached at its peak level of 240 grams in 1983. Similar trend of decrement can be seen for lamb however, in lesser quantities. As for fish which was eaten the least by the people of a european nation remained constant at almost 50 grams throughout the given period of time.
