This graph displays the change in rate of jobless people in USA and Japan within March 1993 and March 1999.
Overall, US started with a higher rate of unemployment than Japan, but as years pass employment increases. On the other hand, Japan’s shiftless people start increasing but at a slower rate. The point at which the graph ends the US has decreased and Japan has increased, but at close points.
To begin with, US had a rate slightly lower than one-tenth. Then, at a somehow fast rate unemployment decreased to approximately one-twentieth in March 1995. Next, the rate reached a plateau which lasted for two years, and some fluctuations started to occur in March 1996. Subsequently, the rate keeps on falling till ending at a rate somewhat lower that one-twentieth.
Moving on, Japan started off in 1993 with a rate kind of higher than one-hundredth. Gradually, Japan’s progress kept on growing till coming to a notch lower than one-twentieth in March 1996. Afterwards, the rate attained a position where it is steady till around March 1998. Following, a faster increase in pace has been noticed till stopping at approximately one-twentieth.
