You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
• explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months
• say how your work could be done while you are away
• ask for his/her help in arranging it,
Dear Paul,
Hope this letter finds you hale & hearty. I intend to write this letter to seek your support for arranging my relocation to the company’s headquarter in Norway. As you are well aware that I am working on a project named “Crowdsourcing” for which there is a dedicated team working in Norway office already. I have planned to scale-up my project, in that perspective; I need to execute end to end product revamp of one of the most revenue-generating product called “ Ring Back Tune” based on crowdsourcing methodology. I shall be taking on the job training and learn their way of work.
I assure you that during my 6 months rotation to the headquarter office, my current work responsibilities will be duly taken care by one of our colleague who has agreed to extend his support. None the less, I shall be executing some of my tasks from the head office myself as well.
I look forward to your usual support for raising my request to the senior management and in securing due approvals in this regard.
I shall be greatly obliged. looking forward to your outright response.
Yours Truly,
Sam
