The diagram illustrates how wasted bottles made from glass are recycled. Overall, the process of recycling wasted glass bottles includes three main stages, beginning with the assembling of a useless glass bottle and ending with the recreation of new ones that are ready to use.
At the first stage of the process, wasted glass jars are deposited at collection points and then transporting on trucks to a glass treatment plant. Subsequently, those glass bottles are washed under high-pressured water to remove any stains and after that, they are classified into 3 categories based on the color, namely clear, green, and brown glass. Following this, they are transferred to glass factories in which they are crushed into debris. In the next step, those pieces are melted in a glass-melting furnace at around 600 to 800 degrees Celsius. After being liquefied, they are shaped in glass mould with other new liquid glass.
The process continues with the creation of the new bottle, which are used to build by the new raw material, is labeled with the contents and date. Finally, those will be sent back to the supermarket and ready for sale.
