Do you prefer traditional style classes or pre-recorded classes?
It is often claimed that many teachers refer to the use of modern technology in the classroom. As for me, I support the idea of using traditional style lessons and here I will state two reasons why I am convinced that it is right.
Indeed, it is definitely important for the children to have a personal contact with a teacher as it improves the quality of comprehension of the subject material. If the students are sitting in a class listening the lecture, they can observe the teacher’s emotions, ask questions, learn discipline, and be involved in the lesson’s process. During the quarantine period, students had a lack of a personal contact with the teacher and it decreased their school knowledge. That is why I am persuaded that a real lecturer approach is better for the educational process and that it effectively improves the understanding of the subject.
By the same token, traditional style classes enhences student’s abilities of being accurate with details and listening to the lecturer attentively. Also, it trains the pupils to make notes in order to remember the new information and work with their written material later. If the students make notes while listening to the lecture, it improves their concentration and attention to details, it helps them to develop their brain, it allows to practice in remembering the information fast. So, real lessons positively effect the brain development of the students of different ages and enhance their creative thinking skills.
Nonetheless, the fast development of the educational technologies cannot be overestimated and it offers the professors more new opportunities. At the same time, it is easier and more affordable for schools to provide pre-recorded classes and share them with kids during the school semester. YouTube allows the teachers to use video lessons for many times with students and spend more time on creating the educational content. It is true that technological platforms also offer students an option to listen to the lection several times and not miss any detail.
To sum up, I would like to say that the pre-recorded lections will never remove the use of traditional lessons in the educational process. Real classes’ need in the educational system is crucial and the video lessons will never offer the people the options that the normal school approach will.
