Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrolment officer. In your letter
explain why you are writing
describe your circumstances
ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enrol in the course
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my interest in the Cloud Computing Course 301 required for a certification in Computer Engineering.
I intended to apply for this course but read in the requirements about the need to complete the Cloud Computing Course 101 which is a compulsory requirement for enrolling in the above mentioned course.
I have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, although, i am passionate about computer studies. I love learning about the various parts of a computer and how they connect to make it function effectively. I am also curious to understand the various softwares that exist in the computers and their respective functions.
Hence, I humbly request that an exception be made to accept my bachelors degree to enable me enroll for the course. I would be very grateful if my request is granted as it will aid in achieving my career goals.
I look forward to your favourable response.
Yours faithfully,
Lilian Okoye.
