You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating/cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with your hotel because of its poor hospitality services during the last weekend of my stay.
I came to Las Vegas on a vacation, and it was my second trip to the city. I booked a room at your Crown Plaza Hotel for two nights. Unfortunately, the weather was unpleasant and not usual at the time of my visit. I could not enjoy my stay at your hotel. The reason behind my vacation got spoiled because I got sicked due to your centralized A/C system which was not functional during my entire stay.
In the morning, the day was hot and I was feeling warm. Since the A/C of my room was not working, I had to open up the windows all day, and in the night, the windows remained open and it was raining outside, Due to the undisturbing weather, I could fix the comfortable temperature of the room according to my body. However, I overcome the problem by going to another hotel for the next night. I got some sleep, but I did not get enough time to enjoy the holiday because of your actions.
Therefore, I urge you to please refund the amount of my second night stay at your hotel or else provide me a good discount on my next visit to your hotel if I want to go anywhere around the country because Crown Plaza has multiple hotels across the globe. It would be best to give your hotel a second chance, but I hope you will not disappoint me on my next vacation.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Shwatank Bhasin
