You have been invited to give a talk at a local community college in America about your home country. Write a letter to the secretary of the college. In your letter
* accept the invitation and offer a possible date for the talk
* summarise what information you will include in the talk
* say what equipment you will need the college to arrange for you to give the talk
Dear Madam,
Please accept my gratitude through this letter since you have given me the honor to speak about my country India with our local community college students. I am writing this letter to express my happiness and kindness in your actions because you have given the opportunity to the native young adults to learn about Incredible India from a half-Indian and half-Canadian.
I will be available on the coming Friday of 9th July 2021. I have a company holiday on Friday, and it would be a great chance for me to visit the college and talk about my home country. I will be speaking about the Indian Culture and traditional prospects that are practiced in every state of India. This topic would be long because there are many different cultures and languages spoken in different states of India. Besides, every state has its own food which has a mouthwatering taste because of Indian Spices. Finally, I will talk about the history of India from 15th Century till the present time in a short summary. Also, I will present a movie to your college students about the history of India.
Therefore, I will require some of the equipment to showcase my movie and presentation such as projector, mike, and speakers. I assure you that your college pupils will learn a lot about my country through my talk and a movie. And, I am delighted and thankful to you for giving me the honor to talk about my nation.
I am looking forward to meeting you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Shwatank Bhasin
