The pie charts elucidate the precise information regarding usage of water by various means which is measured in percentage in six regions of the world.
Overall, the pie charts highlight that the agriculture sector made the highest contribution to total water usage majorly in four regions named South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia. Moreover, industries made up the second most significant sector for water consumption in North America and Europe. However, the domestic category made the lowest share for all six regions in terms of consumption levels.
First of all, Agriculture being the most popular sector in four regions, depicted an upward trend in South America, South East Asia, Africa and Central Asia. In South America, this sector accounted for slightly more than a three-fifth part of total water utilisation. Also, for the regions South East Asia and Africa the consumption level rose to 81% and 84% respectively, which then reached a peak with 88% in central Asia making it the crucial occupation in the region.
Subsequently, in the developed nations namely North America and Europe. Industries played a significant role. So, the proportions for water usage in the former nation saw noticeable figure with nearly one-half and latter one with just over one-half of total usage. In contrast, domestic usage recorded extremely low rates with less than 10% in Africa, Central and South East Asia regions, and saw a slight rise in rates in North America, Europe and South America with 13%, 15% and 19% individually.
