The graph shows the amount earned by graduates of different age groups in 2002. It includes those with a degree, those with a higher degree( postgraduates) and those with other qualifications.
The graph provides information about how much people earned per week based on their education level and age in the year 2002.
Overall, those with other qualifications had the highest income on average, meanwhile, people with first degrees made less money than the other two categories. Furthermore, the gap between the youngest and the eldest in their income was significant.
There are two clear trends visible, employees with other qualifications, in general, made much more money than their counterparts. Starting with above 400 pounds at age 21-25, this figure increased sharply and hit its peak at the age 36-40, with over 800 pounds per week. However, from age 40 to 60, the figure saw a steady drop to under 700 pounds. Likewise, first degrees graduates employees started with lower salaries (around 350 pounds) then soared strongly to almost 700 pounds at age 36-40 and 41-45. After reaching its peak, the number decreased mildly to about the same point with other qualifications graduates employees at age 56-60. In general, the main difference between the two types of employees was the fact that other type qualifications made 100 pounds weekly more than first degree employees.
On the other hand, staff with higher degrees received less money than those with other qualifications from the age 21 to 55. At age 21-25, the wage was just below 400 pounds then raised to almost 750 pounds at the 41-45 demographic. The figure suddenly soared up to under 800 pounds after it experienced a slight drop from age 45 to 55.
