The pie chart illustrates, the possible causes of minimal production of farmland. Whereas, the table describes the proportion of land degradation in three regions including North America, Europe, and Oceania.
Overall, the overwhelming majority of degradation is caused by overgrazing with 35% and the greatest amount of land degradation done in Europe around 23% among other countries.
Regarding the pie chart, deforestation and over-cultivation make agricultural land in an unproductive state which is about 30% and 28% respectively. While other reasons account for a mere 7% of land degradation.
With regards to the table, compared to other regions, Europe exhibits the highest position in deforestation with 9.8% and over-cultivation at 7.7%. However, North America shows the lowest position in contrast to other two nations such as total degradation was only 5%. Moreover, even though over-cultivation is absent in Oceania, their total land loss is about 13% which is only 10% lower than Europe, and the main factor is overgrazing which is 11.3%.
