1 - You and your family are planning to spend a weekend at a seaside hotel. Write a letter to the hotel making the arrangements. Let them know
• when you will be arriving and leaving,
• what type of rooms you would like
• and ask them how much the weekend will cost
• also enquire about activities and places of interest near the hotel.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Hope this letter finds you well. I intend to write this letter to confirm my booking at your hotel and share the details of my arrival beforehand. I have planned a stay starting from 29th December to 1st January 2023. I shall be arriving with my family which includes 8 people altogether on the early evening of 29th December. It is a long-awaited trip with my family and I want to ensure that we enjoy quality time together with maximum activities.
I would want to book 2 suits to accommodate all my family members. There should be at least 4 rooms in 2 suits. I intend to keep elders in quite separate room so they can rest well and 2 separate rooms for teenagers to enjoy the nighttime with games and activities. I completely understand that it’s a peak season and you must be going fully booked. I would like to inquire about the cost of these weekend days so I can arrange them accordingly. Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, I want to provide the best time for my family so I am curious to know about the amenities and activities you have nearby the hotel so we are not just staying and resting in the room but participating and making the best out of our time together. It would be fair and rational if you could share the cost associated with all the activities or if they are free or charge so we can plan the itinerary accordingly.
I look forward to your swift and outright response.
Yours sincerely,
Sam
