The line graph compares the total of international tourists to three various areas in an European country from 1987 to 2007
In general, it is clear that the figure of the three areas witnessed an upward trend. The amount of overseas visitor visited the coast took the dominant during the period
Looking at the line chart for more details, one can see that in 1987, the coast was the most popular destination for visitors with 40 thousand people, doubled than that of the figure in the mountains. The lakes was the least popular area with only 10 thousand visitors in the same years. Following the next 10 years, three sectors continued to rise gradually, around over 40 thousand travellers in each of the coast and the lakes. The mountains experienced a slight increase by 30 thousand.
From 1997 to 2007, the number of overseas visitors showed a significant rise. To be more specific, the amount of the coast went up roughly and reached a peak in the end of the period by over 70 thousand. The figure of the lakes peaked at the same amount of the coast in 2002, but decreased dramatically at 50 thousand in 2007. The mountains remained relatively stable around 30 thousand.
