Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.
The relevance of a people and her strengths, skills, even including weaknesses finds expression in the rate of productivity, inclusion and deeds, to a common shared purpose of the society, to meet the needs today, and pave way for it's application in the future; In essence, the student who can write effectively, can communicate fluently, even in this unique situation of passing a GRE, is all important when this writer or communicator employs his/her skills somewhere, or this student gets the opportunity to contribute to the Research and Development sector that advances society. The recommendation that all pre college students should have the same curricula exposure can both be seen in alternate perspectives. I mostly disagree with this recommendation for the following two reasons: It impedes diversity in specialization common in the intricacies of a robust and resilient society, as well as the inventiveness of a person, thus makes one limited. I do however concede that there are some positivity in having one curriculum as others from another school of thought propose, but this are still a limited way of ruling a nation sustainably.
Firstly, as earlier stated,the fact that It impedes diversity in specialization common in the intricacies of a robust and resilient society. For a nation to be characterized as successful, it's strengths (people), must contribute both uniquely and harmoniously to the productivity section of the society, such as people who research better infrastructure for the society, or better ways of dealing with businesses as seen in the advent of how uniquely businesses are conducted through technology. Let's take for example, the creation of fast cars, trains, aeroplane for faster transportation. This all started from the basics of understanding the existence and laws of something we refer to as 'Motion', by the then perceived 'different' Isaac Newton. When his mates where being thought the esentialities of the old ways of doing things, Isaac first concieved the concept of Motion from sitting under an orange tree, whose fruit fell on his head. This at the time, was a foreign, and dare I say, crazy and unacceptable concepts, which of course was frowned upon, how much more taught in schools. But today, most of the amenities and infrastructures, used to categorize a society as 'sustainable', successful', 'developed', 'undeveloped', etc are founded on the applications of these principles. On the hand, let us look at the academic background of the movers and shakers of our today society; People, whose share geniusness has shaped the world. Take for example the founder of Microsoft, Steve Jobs. He rise to fame, from the creation of Microsoft, as well as ensuring computers are now handy (easily carried up and down), was in the application of principles different from what his mates, and counterparts where thought in classes, 'the same things'. At the time, dropping out of a prestigious school like Stanford spelled misdirection and lack of understanding to the person, and in essence, ruin. Dare I say however that, as we have seen it's proceeds, it was successful. Critics will however effectively point out that these cases are unique, and not all persons know their way, how much more thriving without direction, which is supplied by what is taught in schools, which again is the same thing. I concede that they are right, especially considering the evident data that only 10% of people who follow different curricula direction actually make it, whilst 56% who follow the same curriculum make it. These are valid stances, but these people fail to see that the recommendation is not about confirmatory success, but the flexibility of studies/curriculum. These data can thus be employed by still having a curriculum for most, but having the flexibility of recognizing geniuses and availing them the unique situations they require in a better acceptable society than it was in times past where they were restricted.
Secondly, the inventiveness of a person, which positively advances a society.4 The reason is, has specifically been highlighted in the advent of the new dawn technological, scientific and engineering have brought about. Technology on it's own has brought about both ease and unprecedented complexities, whose solutions lie beyond the confines of the same old ways being taught to everyone. Let's take for example the unfortunate story of the boy invented the door stopper. This boy was rumored to have seen and suffered the death of his sister, who was caught in a closing door as she was making an attempt to pass through whilst crawling, and died. The boy, then thought of a way to ensure the rate at which a door closes could be controlled better. Though this seems like a situation that could have been discussed in class, but the discussion won't have been brought to life because there was no trigger. At the time, this methodology was beyond the school curriculum of that society. Now, imagine if the boy had just stopped within the confines of what was taught, heights that was defined for high schoolers in class. Perhaps, this invention would have taken longer time to come into existence, or not at all. Let's also consider the father of the Oil and Gas Industry, Rockefeller. His adventures in the industry paved way for the characterization of business expansion as Horizontal and vertical. Rockefeller, who is universally considered the father of the Oil and Gas industry, understanding the nuances of business. Specifically, when interviews, he credited his shrewdness to the crafty illegal deals he often saw his engaged in. His father was a an infamous con man. This is, if anything, the negative extreme of knowlegde, which most definitely can't be taught in schools, much less approved for a standardized curriculum, but in it, Rockefeller understood what to do, and this brought about the expansion of oil business to unprecedented levels, making oil and most sort after commodity for large energy resources. Some are however of the opinion that these principles, employed by the boy inventor, and Rockefeller have their origin in the unified curriculum, hence, it's expressions in this ways should be credited to harmonious teaching. If that were so, all those who were mates of these two examples would have been famous in their respective era. Take for example Rockefeller, it was published in the Young Johns journal that 'amongst all who were taught by the same teacher in his class, and his time, he was the most famous, and most deterministic as regards the economic influences of the society. From Rockefeller, companies such as Shell, Chevron, which are classified as the IOC's that determine the oil direction, and what matters, came to be.
In conclusion, we see that uniform teaching pre-college is not necessarily agreed as bad, thus should not be eliminated, rather, it is a situation of flexibility and insights in a society. We do not want a situation where redundancy is the order of the day, and a section of persons who are made for more fall into it, but rather, these exceptionalities should be recognized, accepted and accounted for uniquely. A balanced curriculum should cater for the larger students in it's dictatorship, but also account for the genius students, as well as instances, as these are the moment, and people that shape the society futuristically speaking.
