The bar chart demonstrates the proportion of women and men teachers in six distinguished fields of educational setting in the British in 2010.
It is evident that the female gender has a dramatic presence in fields related to kindergarten and primary school, while the male teachers account for major of the rest of the types of educational setting.
Regarding pre-school, the number of female teachers made up 98%, which was significantly higher than that of the male teachers, at nearly 2%. Similarly, the female teachers also comprised commonly in primary school, approximately nine times more than male teachers.
Men and women were more equally represented in educational setting related to secondary school, college, and private training institutes. In secondary school, there was closely as many men ( approximately 45%) as women (at 50%), this was also true of private training institute. The percentage of male and female teachers in college saw the same at 50%. In university, the men teachers outnumbered sharply women ( roughly 70% vs 30% respectively).
