The diagram shows the different stages in the production of woollen goods.
The diagram depicts how wool is manufactured to make woolen products. Overall, the production of wool encompasses five main stages classified into two procedures, in which wool is collected manually and undergoes mechanical processes to eventually produce woolen goods.
From the outset, wool is sheared from sheep on the field. Once the wool is harvested, it will be sanitated and will be dehydrated using a drying machine. The dried wool is then carded in order to hinge the separated wool together into a larger tuft of wool. Wool that is not properly carded is called "string", which is recycled afterward.
Blocks of wool tufts are retained in several storages. After a certain amount of time, the stored wool is now ready for the spinning process. This entails balls of yam to be produced. It is the chief material for knitting and in the weaving industry with some products such as jackets or carpets.
