The pie charts compare three types of nutrients average Americans consume through three meals and snacks.

It is clear that most of the sodium and saturated fat were taken via dinner and snacks, while snacks contain the biggest proportion of added sugar intake. It is also noticeable that people tend to have relatively fewer nutrition in their breakfast time.

According to charts about intaking of sodium and saturated fat, dinner contributes the largest proportion, which is 43% and 37% respectively. In the contrast, people tend to eat fewer during breakfast, which contributes the smallest part about 15% compares to the whole consumption of the two nutrition mentioned before. Just beyond one-fourth of saturated fat and near thirty percent of sodium is consumed through lunch.

Consumption about added sugar is mainly caused by snacks which reach 42%, nearly 2 times higher than sugar intake during dinner(23%). Both lunch and breakfast contribute lower than 20% to the whole sugar intake, occupying 16% and 19% respectively.
