Dear Sir and Madam,
I am an international student in the first semester of Computer Science Information at Douglas college. I am a full-time student and my teachers are Mr. Johnson and Mr. Samuel. I am studying computer science classes and academic writing classes from September to the end of November.
I am writing this letter to request a week for a leave of absence in the first week of November because of my cousin’s wedding on November 5, which is taking place in my home country and to which my family expects me to attend. Although this means that I would have to miss courses for a week, I can borrow one of my classroom’s notes during this period to help me with what I will miss.
I would be grateful to you if I can be permitted to be absent for that week. If I am allowed to do this, I will discuss how to arrange my assignment that I did not do while I was away for this period with my teachers. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
