Around the world, many adults are working from home, and more children are beginning to study from home because technology has become cheaper and more accessible.
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Because technical equipment are more affordable in our digital age, a growing number of individuals of all ages are working or learning from home. It seems to me that this phenomenon cuts both ways and we will discuss more in this essay.
On the one hand, current research suggests that home working, supported by smart gadgets, enables the majority of young people and children to live a better balanced existence since it is less time-consuming in many ways. We can see that even while today's freelancers, such as content writers, can work well from a distance, they still have enough quality time at home. Furthermore, the introduction of online courses with low-cost offerings is stated to present young people with a plethora of chances to advance intellectually. In the past, schools and libraries were the only places where children could learn. In short, I believe that the ubiquity of contemporary technologies benefits both working people and students.
On the other hand, it appears that this evolution will have two widely noted implications. First, for certain businesses, the convenience of homeworking is closely related to the possible danger in any organization, which is the high probability of vital data being disclosed as companies' computers are stolen or spied. Second, online learning is thought to deprive any individual of the basic physical activity required to stay healthy. In the long run, this style may have a negative impact on students' physical and mental well-being. In summary, the growing trend of working and learning from home may bring unique challenges for businesses and students.
To summarize, this position is a double-edged sword. Despite the aforementioned issues, I believe this growth will eventually become popular due to the constant advancement of technology.
