Some working parents think that childcare centres provide the best care for children who are still too young to go to school Other working parents think that family members such as grandparents will be better carers for their children
The difference between the child care given by childcare centres or grandparents, which was always a debatable issue has now become more controversial with many people claiming that childcare homes are better while others reject this notion and back the idea of keeping them home with their grandparents. The substantial influence of urbanization has sparked controversy over the potential impact in recent years. In the coming paragraphs, I would like to ponder upon both before giving my verdict on the same.
Though there are many benefits of childcare centers one can go on to list. I will concentrate on the ones that are the most important ones. First, these childcare centers are highly reputed private organizations that hire trained staff to take proper care of infants every day and even during emergency hours like a child getting hurt or sick. Whereas grandparents owing to their old age, cannot give constant attention. Second, children are at a secure place where they face no danger from the outside world. What's more, toddlers are not likely to sit at a place. Therefore, daycares are the perfect place where toddlers can play with other toddlers or can indulge in brainstorming activities.
On the other hand, some people support the idea of keeping children home with grandparents. They say that grandparents provide love and warmth. In addition to this, they help to inculcate emotional intelligence in infants as well. Which is not possible at the daycares. Furthermore, chances of homesickness also get reduced when children stay at their homes with their family members.
Besides this, living at home with grandparents would also be beneficial for their health as grandparents provide food rich in nutritious value.
To recapitulate, I feel that both have their own benefits and drawbacks. In my opinion, grandparents can provide more love and support whereas childcare centers can provide more care and activities. But, looking at the present scenario, I assert that daycares are more beneficial.
