You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.
Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
introduce yourself
explain what is wrong with the furniture
say what action you would like the landlord to take
Dear Sir,
My name is Lilian Okoye and I recently moved with my family into your rented residence at No 8b Johnson street, Washington. I am writing this letter to complain about the cabinets in the kitchen and the bedroom. Although, I love what you did in redecorating the gardens and the tennis court.
To provide more details, the cabinets in the kitchen are weakly constructed as they keep falling off, same as those in the bedroom, after being repaired countless of times. Recently, we had a suitation that traumatized my family and I, where one of the cabinet doors fell over my youngest kid and gave him a cut on his forehead. We, immediately rushed him to the hospital to stich the injury, however, it scared us and informed our decision to write to you about fixing the cabinets urgently.
Therefore, I would be thankful if you could send a carpenter over the house to repair these cabinets so as to avoid recurrence of any accidents. We are usually at home on weekends, hence we would prefer that you send an expert carpenter who would recommend the best way to deal with the cabinets.
Kindly treat as urgent and thank you in anticipation.
Yours faithfully,
Lilian Okoye.
