Foreign visitors might leave plastic bottles, cups, and various forms of waste behind, which destroys the ecosystem and affects marine life.
On the other hand, the increasing quantity of traveling between different countries can be more advantageous. The most obvious benefit is that people will be provided with diverse experiences and knowledge. When travelers spend time in different countries, they become more attuned to different cultures and perspectives, fostering open-mindedness and reducing discrimination. Having observed individuals from underprivileged backgrounds enduring various hardships, they will be able to lend a greater empathy. Another advantage worth considering is that it is advantageous for the nation's overall economy, which translates to improved living standards and prosperity. As travelers from all over the world fly to tourist destinations, commercial and private airlines yield substantial revenue. Additionally, the increased demand for hotels, restaurants, and resorts leads to job creation.
In conclusion, while cross-border travel entails several drawbacks, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Encouraging collaborative efforts among governments can ensure that international tourism benefits all stakeholders.
