The line graph compares the number of shops that closed and opened in one country between 2011 and 2018.
In general, by 2011 the number of opened shops was approximately 8500 which was the peak, while the minimum number of shops that closed in 2015 was nearly 500.
As can be seen, after that about 4000 numbers of shops dropped in 2011, it had a slight increase of 2000 trend two consecutive years. The number of shops that opened reduced in 2014 and after that for three years did not change a lot but last year dropped to about 1000 in 2018. On the other side, the number of closed shops in the first four years fluctuated and after that by 2015 fell sharply by more than 7000 number of shops. The closed shops again in 2016 about 5000 and the remaining years did not change a lot.
As a result, although there was a fluctuation trend in the two groups, the opened shops more changed than the closed shops and there was a noticeable drop point in 2015 related to the closed shops group.
