The diagram below shows the process for recycling plastic bottles.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The provided diagram illustrates the life cycle of water bottles. Overall, there are nine steps in the process, from collecting bottles to producing end plastic products.
The empty bottles are put in a recycle bin by residents and then gathered by specific trucks. After collecting, these plastic bottles are transported to the recycling center in which they are categorized once more by human labor regarding their availability of being recycled.
After three stages where workers are collaborating, those sorted bottles undergo automated steps, including pressing them together to blocks, subsequently crushing by two large gears, and cleaning by water in a pool. Coming up next is the stage of forming pellets from the previous pieces by a specific machine. Then, these plastic pellets are heated up to be raw material which is stored and eventually used to produce items, such as water bottles, shirts, pencils, and bags. This life cycle of plastic material will be repeated with the step of gathering in a recycle bin after being used by human.
