You work at home and have problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter,
- describe the problem with equipment.
- explain how this problem is affecting your work.
- say what you want the shop or company to do.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to explain an issue that I have with my new laptop which I purchased from your shop last month and I hope that prestigious shop like yours will provide a quick service to fix the issue.
It is a Dell laptop with model number vostro 1048. I found it troublesome to carry out my office work on this laptop as there is only one hour battery backup, which is too low. Most of the time, after usage of 1 hour, It starts displaying battery low warning. This laptop must have three hours of battery backup, which manufacturer of this laptop claims. Moreover, some of the keyboard keys do not work, in particular A and H alphabets.
I face portability issues with this laptop while travelling and not able to carry out any of the tasks due to low battery issue. Also, some of the keyboard keys do not function. So, it is too difficult to work smoothly and most of the time I get hindrance while working.
As my laptop has one year of warranty. So, I hope that your shop would ask one of your executives to collect this laptop from my home and look into this issue to fix it as soon as possible so that It won't delay my job assignments.
For your reference bill number of this purchase is 721E532. Please call me at 01246255856 to arrange a mutually convenient time for pickup.
Yours faithfully,
Ell Green
