You recently read an article in a newspaper about your childhood friend with whom you have lost contact for a long time. Write a letter to the editor. In your letter:
• Say which edition and when did the article appear
• Explain why you lost contact with your friend
• Say how you want them to help you to get back in touch
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to enquire about my friend with whom I have lost contact for the past few years. His name is Amit Sehgal and his accomplishments were published in one of your articles on 15th April.
Let me explain in more detail. Amit is a national level tennis player and is selected to represent India in the Olympics game. I read about this achievement in your summer editor released this month. He is my school friend but we are not in touch for a long time. This is because I migrated to another state with my family for better life prospects. I tried to contact him a couple of times but it seems that his phone details have changed. Additionally, I have dropped him several emails yet I have not heard anything from him. Therefore, I ask you to please help me in reaching out to him.
Particularly, I would like to know about his latest landline and personal contact number. This could help me to drop him a text or connect via call. Moreover, if you can also give me with his home address so I can try to reach him via traditional post. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further details.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Heena Parmar
