The diagram illustrates how sugar is produced from sugar cane. It is clear that there are seven stages in the manufacturing process, from the initial growing to the eventual drying and chilling.
At the first stage of the making-sugar process, sugar canes are planted in the fields and are harvested after 12-18 months. The harvesting process could be conducted by hand or by agricultural machines. It depends on the scale of the fields and the available equipment. After that the trunks of sugar cane are crushed by a machine to extract juice that will be processed in the next stage.
The four and five stages involved in purifying and evaporating process to get the pure juice for the syrup-making process. Raw liquid was filtered through limestone. The obtained juice will be treated in order to become syrup by evaporator. The next stage, a centrifugal machine will separate sugar crystals from syrup that will be dried and cooled to obtain the end product: sugar.
